WHAT TO BRING
If your planning your first ever saltwater fly-fishing trip you have to considerer many things such fishing gear, flies, clothes, etc. The Caribbean weather could change twice while you blink but you don’t have to worry about that if you are well equipped.
Xcalak is a very remote village in south Quintana Roo and there are no fishing shops neither big markets here so keep in mind this before getting in Xcalak. Of course, on your way from Cancún, Tulum or Chetumal you may stop in the big village in case you need to buy something important. In Xcalak there are couple small grocery stores on where you can buy some stuffs like, suncream protection, drinks, snacks…
